Location: Kala Pigadia, private pool
Highlights: private pool, balcony, terraced gardens, quiet, gentle climb, close to the port
Formerly the permanent home on Hydra of the owners, both artists, this lovingly and beautifully restored house with pool retains its traditional Hydriot character and charm. The pool area, enclosed terraced gardens, and a shady covered balcony provide plenty of outdoor space to enjoy or escape the midday sun and enjoy the balmy, starlit Mediterranean evenings in complete privacy.
A fully-equipped, cottage-style, open-plan kitchen with sofa and dining area, a natural gathering place for family and friends, provides everything needed to prepare full meals at home. The adjacent plunge pool provides both sunny and shady sitting spots, and the pool itself has a water-flow pump for those who like to swim against the current.
The sunny upper-level master bedroom with double bed has a private balcony providing gorgeous mountain, valley, and sea views, and a second bedroom on the lower level has two twin beds and a window also looking out to the Saronic Gulf. A third self-contained bedroom has a private entrance from the garden.
