Hydra Island Houses | For holiday rentals, house appraisals, and property and home-improvement management on Hydra Island, Greece

€900/week

Location: Hydra Town
Highlights: newly redone in the traditional style, shady private garden, terrace with gorgeous views, gentle climb, close to the port

This traditional Hydriot cottage, decorated in the open, airy island style, provides fabulous inland mountain and valley views; yet, a two-minute walk from the harbor with only one short and gentle flight of stairs to navigagte, the spitiaki (little house) is ideal for those looking for a house to rent without a climb. A spacious, walled-in garden provides shady and completely private outdoor space for relaxing in the afternoon or dining al fresco in the evening.

In the process of complete rennovation, the cottage will be ready for rental during the 2010 summer holiday season. Guests will enjoy their stay in a roomy, comfortable, tastefully decorated home with living and dining room, kitchen, shower, and three bedrooms. High ceilings and french doors onto the terrace provide lots of light and space.

David has known this house for decades, having once lived there himself, and numerous guests over the years have reported never having slept better at home.

Conditions: Minimum rental period is seven nights, preferably Saturday to Saturday. A 30 percent deposit will hold the booking, with the balance due four weeks before arrival. Children are welcome. No pets.
